Ophthalmologist

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglasses lenses. When necessary the perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice. However some are employed by hospitals and clinics and others preform research.

Average salary:  $90,000- $150,000
Educational requirements: only physicians may study to become ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and an internship an ophthalmologist must then completed a three to five years residency in an approved ophthalmology program to be certificated.


Anesthesologist

Anesthesologist
Duties and Res[pnsibilities:
Anesthesiologist are physicians specializing in perioperative care, development of an anesthetic plan, and the administration of anesthetics. Anesthesologist  are also responsible for the well being of the patient right after they come out of surgery.
Salary: approximately $300,000 annually

Education: After completing a four year bachelor’s degree, students than take four years of graduate education leading to a degree in medicine (M.D) or osteopathy (D>O.). After receiving a medical degree, students must complete four more years in  anesthesiologist residency.
